Questions?
I get it, you’re new to this. If you have additonal questions outside of the list below, shoot me an email!
How long does a lesson last?
Beginner lessons typically last between 1.5-2 hours, and can vary depending on group size.
Will I know how to play Mahjong after my first lesson?
Yes, you will ideally comprehend the rules and general gist of the game, while completing at least one game during your lesson. However, most people/groups prefer two lessons to really grasp the movements, concepts, and strategies.
Do I need my own tiles to host a lesson?
No! I will bring everything you and your group will need to play, including tiles, racks and pushers, dice, a mat, etc. That said… after playing with The Mahjong Line tiles you may be tempted to grab a set of your own!
How many people can I have in my group lesson?
The ultimate goal is to ensure your group gets personalized attention and practical gameplay for the most effective learning. But, the answer depends. It takes four players to play, however, I can teach up to eight people per table. If your group has a few more or less, we can make it work! We’ll chat about it upon receiving your booking request.
What is the cost for our lesson(s)?
We will discuss pricing via email once I receive the details in your booking request form submission.
What type of payment do you accept?
I prefer VENMO: @dotcrackcasey or PayPal, but will gladly also accept checks and cash.
